Of the people
2016-17
In a city like New York, with speculative real estate dominating the urban landscape, people are constantly pushed to the sidelines leading to segregated neighbourhoods based on income, race and ethnicity. There is a need to provide people with the required agency to design their own living spaces. This project imagines such a social practice for kids or adults.

It involves drawing real or imagined portraits, of people we come across in our daily lives, on simple geometric shape blocks. These building blocks are then used to assemble a sculpture representing a city of the people.
